CIP Kitchen System for Dairy Industry

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The GEMAK Skid Mounted CIP (Clean-in-Place) Kitchen System is a fully automated hygienic
cleaning solution engineered for dairy and food processing facilities. The system is designed to
perform efficient and repeatable cleaning cycles for process equipment, pipelines, storage
tanks, pasteurizers, homogenizers, separators, filling machines, valve manifolds, and associated
processing lines without dismantling the equipment.
The CIP Kitchen integrates chemical preparation, solution storage, heating, circulation, recovery,
and process automation into a compact skid-mounted unit, ensuring optimum cleaning
performance while minimizing water, chemical, steam, and energy consumption.
The system complies with hygienic design principles and supports validated cleaning procedures
required by modern

Working Principle

The CIP Kitchen prepares and circulates cleaning solutions through process equipment at
controlled:
• Flow Rate
• Temperature
• Chemical Concentration
• Contact Time

The cleaning cycle is automatically executed through PLC-controlled recipes and consists of:
1. Pre-Rinse
2. Alkaline (Caustic) Cleaning
3. Intermediate Water Rinse
4. Acid Cleaning
5. Final Water Rinse
6. Sanitization (Optional)
The return solution is monitored for conductivity, temperature, and flow before being recovered
or discharged as pe

System Configuration

4 Tank Configuration
1. Caustic Tank
• Storage of alkaline cleaning solution.
• SS316L construction.
• Equipped with level transmitter, temperature sensor, spray device, and outlet valve.
2. Acid Tank
• Storage of acid cleaning solution.
• Used for mineral scale and milk stone removal.
• Conductivity-based concentration control.
3. Hot Water Tank
• Heated water storage for rinse and sanitization cycles.
• Integrated temperature control system.
4. Recovery Tank
• Collection and reuse of final rinse water.
• Reduces water con

Heating Skid Assembly

The heating skid consists of:
• Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE)
• Steam Control Valve
• Condensate Removal System
• Temperature Transmitter
• Circulation Pumps
• Safety Valves
• Instrumentation & Controls
The heating skid maintains accurate cleaning temperatures throughout the CIP cycle and
ensures rapid heat transfer
